hmmm

I can picture a futuristic setting for this. possibly around or in the modern windmills or maybe a large modern dam. The heavy bass gives it quite the dark feel so I guess you could assume the circumstances upon arriving in the area wouldn't be good.

That random mental vision aside, this captured the songs initial power while also giving it a modern feel. It still feels like it's missing something, but until I can pinpoint what it is I'm not going to harm this score. Great work, keep it up.

Yeah, I hear you bro. I already got some great stuff to add to this piece that I think will take this song even more to the top! You'll be able to hear it in the future when I do a remastered version to all my songs. Im going to add more stuff to some them and this song is one of them. So be on the look out!

very very impressive

This would be perfect, except for the heavy bass and the clapping. Everything else sounded mostly authentic, but with the electronic bass it through off the feel. Even so it still went well together. Very nice peace, I will be downloading this and listening to it for many months to come.

very nice

Hey Koomie, check the date it was submitted. 2 years ago, he's the original don't worry.

As for this, I've listened to it many times already, congratulations on finally getting to the front page!

Extreme awesome sauce

I have been listening to this song for the longest time from OC Remix and gotta say, I haven't gotten tired of it yet. probably about 200 listens and counting, this mix never seems to get old, the beat is entrancing, the nostalgia it creates intoxicating, you put both of those together and you get this amazing mix. Great work zircon, you never fail to disappoint.

hmm

this reminded me a lot of the red hot chili peppers in style. Tones were a bit unvarying in style and the pitch could use some work, but overall it's a pretty good song, good enough for download that's for sure.

i'll go through each song

lost woods: first half I kinda wish the notes all weren't so short, variation would have been nice (though the second half did make up for that)

hyrule temple: loved the strong percussion in the background, brought out the tone of the song very well.

kokiri forest: transition into the song I thought was quite creative and nicely done, song in general lives up to what you would expect for the song.

song of time: transition was a bit abrupt, but the changes in the song were a sigh of relief. you gave this piece a different feel from the classic church, as if it was eventually leading up to a climax, which it was.

Theme: good ending to the medley of songs, the tone of each instrument matches the feel quite well and brings it all together.

Overall, this was a joy to listen to and i'll be recomending this to whoever cares to listen to me.

good for what's used

this is very well put together, but there are some complaint on my end. mainly the fact the melody of the song wasn't introduced until well over half the way through. It left the beginning of the song feeling empty, like it was missing something (coincidentally it was). Once it did hit the melody however, you did vary it enough to keep it interesting, but that doesn't make up for the fact it was missing through half of the piece.

Also, this isn't a true complain and It didn't affect my rating for the song, but the midi sound in the song is very outdated, This would have sounded much much better with a more mode sounds. I know the stuffs expensive so that's why it's not affecting the score, but just saying.

Overall a good classic song once again redone, nice job.

Thanks for the nice review.

very nice

great remix, It slows at times in it's tempo which shouldn't happen in this type of song, but that's just a minor complaint in an otherwise amazing remix. I can't say it's the best out there though, this did after all sound very similar to Entertainment systems remix of the same song.

Beartheshadows responds:

The tempo actually never changes.
.. and who?
Otherwise, I'm glad you liked it.
Thanks for the review.

I agree and disagree with person below...

I loved it and do think it can be improved on, but there are many other ways to make good music than "make it techno." Just do what you like, and sell it to that group of people.

As for making it better, I'm not familiar with the software used, but more realistic instruments would make this much better.

Beutiful redition of a beautiful song

I really liked the eastern feel that was in the beginning of the piece. It fits nicely with the theme and once it hit 1:44 it added much more than just that.

Very well done.
